A New Gallup Poll has found that confidence in public schools has declined in recent years. In 2021, 32% of Americans expressed confidence in public schools. This number declined to 28% in 2022 and 26% in 2023. The reasons for this decline are not entirely clear, but it may be due to a number of factors, including:
Concerns about the quality of education. Some people believe that public schools are not doing a good job of preparing students for college and the workforce.
School safety. There have been a number of high-profile school shootings in recent years, which has led to concerns about the safety of students in public schools.
Rogue Sex-Ed. There have been increasing clashes due to unwanted Sex-Education, purposeful denial of parental rights in matters of student gender identity, and providing pornography to children.
26% confidence in public schools is an all time low!
Furthermore, Gallop found that the Public School Trust also has a massive partisan disparity with a 34 point spread between Democrats and Republicans.
Republicans have the lowest public school trust at 9%!
